The Norfolk hawk walk starts with a safety brief on how to handle your Harris hawk before the hawk walk, then you weigh your hawk before walking off into the Norfolk country side with your Harris hawk on your gloved fist, to the flying area, where after the Norfolk falconry instructor will prepare your Harris hawk for your hawk flying experience. You will fly your Harris hawk many times to the trees and back to your fist, under the careful watch of at least one falconer. After a couple of miles walking, you will return your Harris hawk to your fist for the short walk back to Norfolk falconry. Whilst during hawk walks the Harris hawks are not encouraged to hunt, please bear in mind that the Harris hawk is a prolific hunter and an opportunist, should the hawk decide something is worth catching, Norfolk falconry are unable to stop it happening. Your Hawk walk booking includes : A cup of tea or coffee, A safety brief, Photo opportunities with your camera, Free use of a falconry glove for the duration of your hawk walk, Walking with a Harris hawk on your fist, Flying a Harris hawk to your fist many times, A hawk walk certificate upon completion of your Norfolk hawk walk. Your Norfolk hawk walk should last approx 2 hours, subject to weather and the Harris hawk. All this for just £45 per person, or a group of 6 for just £200 There is a maximum of 6 people per hawk walk, your booking will not be shared with anyone else, if just you book, just you go on the hawk walk, if you book a group, just your group go on the hawk walk.
